Casper Herler New Managing Partner of Borenius

Borenius appointed partner Casper Herler, age 40, as its new Managing Partner. Current Managing Partner Jari Vikiö has been appointed as Senior Partner alongside Jyrki Tähtinen, who will continue to act as Senior Partner and Chairman of the Board. Casper’s appointment further emphasises Borenius’ strategic commitment to seamless co-operation with the leading international and Nordic law firms when serving our clients in their most demanding matters.

“Having served the firm as Managing Partner for the past eight years, time has come for me to let the new talent to step in. Casper has shown great devotion towards developing our firm and I am extremely confident in handing over this post to him. Casper is one of the leading environmental and natural resources lawyers in Finland. He holds top rankings in all the leading international legal directories and the leadership positions in several organizations, including the International Bar Association (IBA). Casper has also been very active in the firm’s management as he has served on its board of directors and the management team as well as headed the Real Estate, Environment and Energy practice. A guiding principle within Borenius is that all partners engage themselves hands-on in client work and Casper will also continue to advice clients in his area of expertise.

The current Managing Partner Jari Vikiö will assume the role of Senior Partner in our M&A and Private Equity practice. Jari is a very well recognized deal maker having represented clients in complex cross-border deals, such as the owners of Paroc in a EUR 700 million sale to CVC last year. Our M&A practice is one of the largest and most active in Finland.
