Borenius Wins the “Global Deal of the Year” Category at the Prestigious M&A Atlas Awards

We are pleased to announce that Borenius has received the prestigious M&A Atlas Award, Global Markets in the “Global Deal of the Year” category for its successful representation of PKC Group in the public tender offer by Motherson Sumi Systems. The deal was valued at EUR 571 million and closed last year. The award was presented by Global M&A Network at the 10th Annual Global Markets Gala held in New York on 5 June 2018.

This award is the culmination of decades’ dedication to providing the best advice to our long-term client PKC Group. Borenius advised PKC Group and its owners including management and leading Nordic PE house CapMan in listing the company into Helsinki Stock Exchange in 1997. Over the next two decades, the company continued to grow both organically and through many successful acquisitions from a regional player to a European leader and finally to a global star. Last year, we assisted PKC Group in a going-private transaction when Indian company Motherson Sumi Systems approached the company. Merrill Lynch was called to help as the financial advisor to PKC Group, and the takeover was concluded in early 2017.
