Riku has significant experience in commercial contracts and legal issues related to international trade, including M&A assignments. His expertise includes competition law issues in trade matters, especially in the automobile sector. He is also actively involved in dispute resolution, mainly as counsel in commercial disputes.

Riku was the first Finnish attorney to be admitted to the German Bar Association. He holds a master of laws from the University of Trier, Germany, in addition to his law degree from the University of Helsinki.

Riku has served as a member of the board of directors in various companies in the service and consumer goods branches.

Riku has been a partner since 2001. He also heads Attorneys at law Borenius' German Desk.
