B&K Student Associates

B&K recruits law students to work part time as student associates on a regular, long-term basis rather than work for a brief, fixed period of time. We believe that the combination of academic studies with practical work provides an excellent basis for career development. In fact, many of our partners and associates began their careers as student associates at B&K.

Depending on individual study plans, our student associates generally work one or two days per week as an integral part of our team. We expect our student associates to conduct research on a variety of business law issues, draft legal memoranda and translate legal documents. We also expect them to develop sensitivity towards client relationships and understand our clients’ requirements and demands. In other words, our student associates should recognise that their assignments are not academic exercises, but are firmly anchored in the everyday services of B&K.

Law students interested in applying for a student associate position at B&K must have a minimum of approximately 80 credits, excellent language skills, demonstrated talent and an eagerness to work as a B&K team member.
