Copyright Act Amended
The Act Amending Finnish Copyright Act (821/2005) and Act Amending Chapter 49 of the Finnish Penal Code (822/2005) came into force on 1 January 2006.

The amended acts implement the changes required by the EU Information Society Directive 2001/29/EC. In addition, amendments not related to the Directive were introduced. These include terminological changes and technical amendments as well as new provisions on extended collective licensing.
