Rilla Ojala

Rilla provides advice to clients on domestic and international commercial dispute resolution matters. She also regularly represents clients before arbitral tribunals and Finnish general courts in cases that span a variety of business sectors. Rilla has gained experience in intricate disputes concerning e.g. construction contracts, share acquisitions and the energy sector. In addition to commercial dispute resolution, Rilla assists clients in investigations as well as corporate and white-collar crime matters, including occupational safety offenses and tax offenses.

During the latter half of 2023, Rilla was seconded to Nordkalk Corporation, a Northern European mining company, where she gained valuable in-house experience in negotiating commercial contracts and proactively preventing potential disputes on the client’s side. During her secondment, she also focused on environmental and safety matters in the context of mining operations.

Rilla joined Borenius as an Associate in 2020. Before that, Rilla worked as a trainee at the firm for several years. In addition to her law degree from the University of Turku, Rilla has studied law at the Pompeu Fabra University (Universitat Pompeu Fabra), Spain.
