Borenius’ Juha Koponen Speaks at Capital Markets IPO Seminar Organised by Nasdaq and AmCham in New York
Borenius’ head of capital markets Juha Koponen spoke at a “Nordic Success in Capital Markets” seminar held in New York on 28 June about dual-listing a Finnish company in Helsinki and New York. The presentation was held jointly with Michael Zuppone, Partner and Chair of Capital Markets at Paul Hastings LLP, who focused more on the US aspects of the listing process. A case study on the reasons and benefits of a Nasdaq Helsinki main market listing was heard by CEO Seppo Kuula of Siili Solutions Oyj. Borenius assisted Siili Solutions Oyj on its Nasdaq Helsinki IPO in April 2016.
Erja Retzén, Nasdaq Nordic’s Senior Managing Director, opened the seminar by informing the audience about the very active Nordic IPO market over the last year. Jonathan Ain, Partner at Kleinberg, Kaplan, Wolff & Cohen P.C., addressed certain issues foreign companies should consider if they wish to list in the U.S. This very successful and popular seminar intended for Finnish and other Nordic potential issuers was hosted at Paul Hastings LLP’s New York office.
The seminar was followed by Siili Solutions Oyj ringing the closing bell at the Nasdaq Market Site in Times Square.
