Borenius' ISO 27001 certification
ISO 27001 Certification Renewal and Transition to 2022 Version
We have renewed our ISO 27001 certification and transitioned to the updated 2022 version. We have held this certification since 2021 and were the first law firm in Finland to achieve this accreditation. This underscores our commitment to continuous improvement in information security and our ability to address today's cybersecurity challenges.

What is ISO 27001 certification?
ISO/IEC 27001 is an internationally recognised standard that specifies the requirements for an information security management system (ISMS). The certification helps organisations protect their information and manage information security risks effectively. Holding an ISO 27001 certification demonstrates that we have a system in place that adheres to best practices and principles in information security management.
Updates in ISO 27001:2022 version
The 2022 version of ISO 27001 includes new requirements for defining processes and their interactions, communicating organisational roles, and establishing and managing criteria for operational processes. These updates enable us to better respond to evolving security threats and enhance our cybersecurity measures.
How does this benefit our clients?
The ISO 27001 certification ensures that our clients' information is secure and handled with confidentiality and safety. For instance, if our clients store sensitive information in our systems, they can be confident that we adhere to strict security standards and that their data is protected from potential threats. This certification enhances our clients' trust in our services and strengthens our collaborative relationships.
