Finnish Competition Act To Be Amended – Ministry’s Working Group’s Proposal Too Stringent

The Finnish Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment’s working group has proposed amendments to the Finnish Competition Act and evaluated it in terms of efficient competition supervision and entrepreneurs’ legal protection. The Ministry has published the report today.

Unfortunately, the report does not propose sufficient improvements to legal remedies related to Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority’s inspections.

Our Partner Ilkka Aalto-Setälä has represented the Finnish Bar Association in this working group and submitted his dissenting opinion on the report.
