We are delighted to report that last night we received the prestigious Nordic Law Firm of the Year 2019 award at The Lawyer European Awards. This year marked the fifth year in a row that we have been shortlisted in this category, and the award is a true recognition of our drive to be the best long-term law firm partner and trusted advisor for our clients.
We were also honoured to be the only firm shortlisted in four categories: Law Firm of the Year: The Nordics; European Managing Partner of the Year: Casper Herler; European Corporate Deal of the Year; and European Competition or Antitrust Deal of the Year. The other shortlisted Nordic firms were Simonsen Vogt Wiig, Bech-Bruun, Dittmar & Indrenius, Kromann Reumert, SANDS, and Wiersholm.
The Lawyer was particularly impressed by our strong focus on clients and employees. The jury had the following remarks in support of our victory: ”they punch above their weight”; “they are very focused on engaging with the top level of the clients”; “consistent growth”; and “excellent collaboration with a strong investment in their staff.”
The Nordic Law Firm of the Year was selected based on strategic vision and consistent excellence in the delivery of legal services, among other criteria. Our strategy calls for us to focus on high-value and high-stakes matters as well as clients with the highest expectations.
In addition to firm’s overall success, our Managing Partner Casper received individual recognition as well. This year, Casper was shortlisted for the European Managing Partner of the Year award for the second time in a row. Similarly, for the second consecutive year, Casper received the “Highly Commended” special nomination, putting him among the top three managing partners in Europe.
The Lawyer European Awards are hosted annually to celebrate the best practice and excellence across the whole industry, including in-house legal departments, private practice and the Bar, both nationally and internationally. The ceremony took place yesterday at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London where the premier European firms were awarded and recognised for their work.
