Borenius Granted ISO 27001 Certification in Recognition of Our High Information Security Standards

We are excited to announce that we are the first Finnish law firm to receive the ISO 27001:2013 certification. This widely recognised international information security standard was granted to us in recognition of the fact that we abide by the best practices for information security management when handling client assignments. The certification, which is the highest security-related accreditation a law firm can achieve, also confirms that the policies and procedures we apply in order to secure our valuable client data are the best in the market.

“Trust and the attorney-client privilege are integral to the services we offer to our clients. Our goal is to be a thought leader on our market and to be second to none in terms of our solutions and processes. That is why we initiated the project to be the first Finnish law firm to obtain this specific certification,” says Managing Partner Casper Herler.

The certification process requires annual audits to ensure that we are continuously improving our data security procedures in terms of sensitive data. It is also an indication of our capability to adapt to the ever-changing cybersecurity landscape.

ISO 27001 is an internationally recognised security standard that specifies the establishment, maintenance, and continuous improvement of an organisation’s information security management system. These stringent standards exist to ensure that formal security and risk management controls are in place to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive company, client, and personal information.
