Borenius advised Lifeline Ventures on the formation of Lifeline Ventures V, a EUR 150 million VC fund

We advised Finnish early-stage venture capital firm Lifeline Ventures as it raised its fifth fund, Lifeline Ventures V. The new fund is Lifeline’s largest to date and, like its predecessors, it focuses primarily on Finnish startups. The investors of the new fund are mostly the same as in the earlier Lifeline funds, and they include pensions funds and family offices.

Established in 2009, Lifeline invests in approximately 10 startups annually, and has invested in 120 companies so far. Lifeline generally invests in the angel and seed stages, and often is the first institutional investor to back a startup. Initial investments range from EUR 150.000 to EUR 2 million. Lifeline’s track record includes investments in Iceye, Applifier, Smartly.io, and unicorns Supercell, Oura, Wolt and Aiven.
