Borenius advised OX2 on the acquisition of the Rustari wind farm development

We advised OX2, the leading Nordic developer of onshore wind power, on the acquisition of the Rustari wind farm development located in Kurikka, Finland, from Metsähallitus, the steward of Finnish state-owned lands and water. The total capacity of the Rustari project wind farm will be 45 MW, and the maximum height of the turbines will be 230 metres. Construction is expected to begin in 2021. The wind farm will be built to the southwest of the village of Jalasjärvi in the municipality of Kurikka. The land of the future construction site is owned by Metsähallitus and private individuals.

OX2 develops, builds and manages renewable power generation. OX2 has taken a leading position in large-scale onshore wind power over the past 15 years, having developed and constructed more than 2.4 GW of wind power in Europe. OX2 currently has management contracts for 38 wind farms (2.1 GW). OX2’s mission is to lead the ongoing energy transition and promote a more sustainable future. OX2 has operations in Sweden, Norway, Finland, Poland, Lithuania and France. Its head office is located in Stockholm, Sweden. OX2’s sales revenue amounted to EUR 463 million in 2019.
