As another year draws to a close, I am pleased to reflect on what has been a strong and dynamic year for Borenius.
We announced three new partner appointments strengthening our capabilities to serve our clients on an even broader range of matters, both in Finland and internationally. This year has also been marked by significant client projects across diverse sectors. We have been entrusted with major transactions and mandates, and our greatest satisfaction comes from knowing that our clients are genuinely pleased with the outcomes we have achieved together.

Expanding our Capabilities by Three Next Generation Partner Appointments
Ben Fallström, Eino Järnroos and Jenni Heurlin all join the partnership on 1 January 2026. Jenni joins as Partner and Head of our EU & Competition practice, bringing expertise in all aspects of EU and Finnish competition law. Ben specialises in financing and project financing, whilst Eino is a dual-qualified transactional lawyer focusing on M&A and private equity.

- Norvestor on the sale of PHM Group to a continuation vehicle
- Mehiläinen on EUR 1.09 billion notes offering for financing the acquisition of Regina Maria and MediGroup
- Tesi on the consolidation of the state’s capital investment activities
- Kojamo Oyj on the sale of 1,944 rental apartments to Apollo and Avant Capital Partners
- Neoen on a EUR 200 million innovative warehouse facility for a diversified European portfolio
- PHM Group on its EUR 1,000 million syndicated term loan B issuance
- Outokumpu on a ten-year, USD 1.6 billion off-take agreement with Greenland Resources
- XTX Markets on the construction of its data centre campus in Kajaani
Christmas Donation Supports the Next Generation
Our Christmas donation supports young people through our pro bono partners Icehearts and the Finnish Paralympic Committee. Icehearts uses sports and mentoring to support children in challenging life situations, whilst the Finnish Paralympic Committee promotes Paralympic sports for athletes and people with disabilities.
