Borenius Participates in International Paralympic Committee’s WeThe15 Campaign
Borenius proudly continues as one of the Finnish Paralympic Committee's main partners, and building on our longstanding partnership, we are once again participating in WeThe15, the global campaign led by the International Paralympic Committee.
WeThe15 aims to highlight issues related to the societal status of people with disabilities, with the goal of making the world a more equal and inclusive place to live. The number 15 refers to the estimated percentage of the world's population who have some form of disability. That means about 1.2 billion people – affecting roughly one in seven of us.
The International Day of Persons with Disabilities is celebrated on 3 December, and at the beginning of December our office will also turn partly purple, as our windows are illuminated with the campaign's signature colour.
Borenius’ Christmas donation supports sports for people with disabilities
As part of our Christmas donation, a portion will be directed to the Finnish Paralympic Committee. By supporting the Committee, we want to help ensure that people with disabilities can access sports at all levels – whether as enthusiasts discovering new passions or as athletes striving to reach their personal best.
We were happy to welcome Timo Mäkynen, Partnerships Manager at the Finnish Paralympic Committee, to visit our office. Timo met with our Partner Casper Herler and warmly thanked Borenius for the donation. Both Timo and Casper expressed how thankful they are about this partnership and the positive impact it brings to the Finnish Paralympic community.
