Counsel Antti Vepsä Appointed as a Permanent Specialist to the Ministry of Finance’s Working Group on Reforming Fund Regulation

We are happy to share that Antti Vepsä, Counsel in our Fund Formation team, was appointed to serve as a Permanent Specialist to the Ministry of Finance’s working group on reforming fund regulation (Valtiovarainministeriön rahastosääntelyn uudistamistyöryhmä).

The working group’s task is to develop collective investment fund structures with the aim of enhancing Finland’s ability to attract risk and other capital. In addition, the working group is exploring opportunities to develop the current corporate structures used in private equity operations, with the aim of attracting investments into Finnish private equity funds.

Antti Vepsä is one of Finland’s leading experts on international fund structures, and he holds a doctoral degree with a fund-related dissertation. His appointment as a permanent specialist to the Ministry of Finance’s working group on reforming fund regulation reflects his deep expertise in regulatory and structural issues related to funds. Antti’s role in national regulatory work underscores the position of Borenius’ team at the forefront of the industry.
