Hanna-Mari Immonen

Hanna-Mari works as a Senior Associate in Borenius’ EU & Competition team based in the Helsinki office. She advises clients on a broad range of EU and Finnish competition law matters, including merger control, compliance, investigations as well as proceedings before competition authorities and courts. She also advises companies on a wide range of regulatory issues related to regulated markets, such as energy and telecoms, including also advising on foreign direct investment (FDI) screening and the Foreign Subsidies Regulation (FSR).

Hanna-Mari has a comprehensive background in competition law and FDI matters across multiple industries and jurisdictions from working at another Finnish law firm for several years. She has also worked in the merger control unit of the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority, where she gained experience of large-scale merger investigations.

In addition to her studies at the University of Helsinki, Hanna-Mari has studied law at Freie Universität Berlin.
