About Jani
Jani is one of Finland’s leading employment lawyers, recognised for his command of the full spectrum of employment law and for advising on some of the market’s most complex and high-profile matters. He advises international and domestic clients on the full range of employment law issues, including pensions and benefits, occupational safety, discrimination, and business immigration and is regularly sought out for matters where the legal and business stakes are both significant.
Jani has particular strength in litigating complex employment law cases and has represented clients in landmark matters before courts including the European Court of Justice and the Finnish Supreme Court.
He has extensive experience in negotiating and drafting senior executive agreements and in developing local agreements, company policies, and procedures. Employers turn to him for guidance on their most critical employment law challenges, including outsourcing, reorganisations and redundancies, where the commercial and legal dimensions of a decision are closely intertwined.
Jani heads the firm’s Employment team and is responsible for the team’s strategic direction and its continued development at the forefront of Finnish employment law.
