Jemina Bonsdorff

Jemina advises our clients on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious matters in the fields of intellectual property and technology, with particular expertise in complex IP litigation. Her expertise also encompasses brand protection and licensing, regulatory compliance, and commercial and contractual matters across various industries.

Jemina is an experienced IP litigator with a strong track record in high-profile disputes at all judicial levels in Finland and at EU level. She represents both domestic and international clients in complex cases involving trademarks, copyright, patents, unfair business practices and trade secrets before the Finnish Market Court, the Supreme Court and the Court of Justice of the European Union. Her contentious practice encompasses infringement and revocation actions, preliminary injunction proceedings and damages claims, where she provides strategic advice and representation throughout all stages of proceedings. She has also completed court training at a District Court.

Jemina regularly advises major brand owners and businesses across various sectors on commercial agreements, licensing structures and brand protection strategies. She has developed particular expertise in copyright matters, advising on content licensing, rights clearance and copyright compliance. Her practice also extends to e-commerce, marketing and consumer law compliance.

In 2024–2025, Jemina completed a secondment as Legal Counsel at Finland’s leading commercial media company, where she supported multiple business functions in the media and entertainment sectors. She advised on IP and technology-related matters, including emerging AI and copyright-related issues, content licensing for television and other media platforms, technology procurement, contract negotiation and regulatory compliance. This in-house experience has enhanced her commercial understanding and strengthened her ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice.

Her regulatory practice focuses on the life sciences and healthcare sectors, where she assists clients in navigating complex regulatory frameworks governing pharmaceuticals, medical devices and healthcare services. Jemina also regularly advises on corporate transactions, focusing on IP, technology and commercial contract issues.
