Borenius advised MB Funds on the closing of MB Equity Fund VII

We advised MB Funds on the fundraising of MB Equity Fund VII, MB’s seventh buyout fund, which raised a total of EUR 222 million in capital commitments. In addition to strong support from investors of previous MB funds, the fund raised commitments also from new institutional investors.

The new buyout fund will continue to follow MB Funds’ long-term strategy of active ownership investments in mid-sized companies with potential for value creation and strong growth. MB Funds partners with entrepreneurs and management teams, and drives value creation by supporting profitable growth, internationalisation and business model enhancement.

Established already in 1988, having raised seven buyout funds and invested in more than 50 companies, MB Funds is one of Finland’s most longstanding private equity firms. MB has invested in various industries, and its investments have included investments for example in Staffpoint, Pharmatory, Raksystems, Suvia Group, Pinja and A-Katsastus, and most recently, Gallant Group.
