Borenius Launches a New Service Area – Sanctions & Export Controls

We have launched a new Sanctions & Export Controls service area that offers solutions in managing all aspects of compliance with international sanctions and export control regimes.

Sanctions are widely used by different jurisdictions in a rapidly evolving foreign policy context where businesses are compelled to adjust to swiftly changing regulatory requirements. Export control requirements for sensitive goods and technologies, on the other hand, are also becoming more widely used and popular with regulatory frameworks that are increasingly used to promote diversifying policy objectives.

We now offer comprehensive services in sanctions and export control compliance in order to assist our corporate clients in staying up to date with and navigating through the related regulatory requirements.

The launch of our new service area is supported by Juho Keinänen, who has joined Borenius as a Senior Associate.

“Recent international developments demonstrate how timely the launch of this new service area is. We are delighted to welcome Juho’s in-depth expertise as a further building block that is added to our established China-related competences and our presence in New York and London. By taking steps to ensure that we are capable of providing advice, contacts and expertise in the majority of jurisdictions across the globe, we hope to develop a leading Sanctions and Export Control team for Finland,” notes Samuli Simojoki, the Chair of Borenius.
