About Taneli
Taneli advises clients on data protection, intellectual property and technology matters. He has worked on several complex data protection matters, particularly in relation to AI, employee data and patient data. He also has experience advising on the regulatory aspects of healthcare information systems and employee monitoring practices.
Taneli’s practice covers several emerging regulatory frameworks, including the EU AI Act, Data Act and the NIS2 Directive. He is also frequently involved in M&A transactions, where he addresses data protection, contractual and regulatory considerations.
Taneli joined Borenius as an Associate in 2024, and before that he worked as a trainee at the firm. He has also gained legal experience as a trainee at other Finnish business law firms during his studies.
In addition to his law degree from the University of Helsinki, Taneli has studied law at Leiden University, Netherlands.
