Vilma Vakkala

Vilma advises our clients on matters related to data protection, cybersecurity, intellectual property, technology, and commercial contracts. With substantial in-house experience at a global technology company, she brings practical insights into complex regulatory compliance and commercial challenges, as well as emerging areas of AI and data regulation.

Before joining Borenius as an Associate in 2025, Vilma worked as Legal Counsel at a technology company, where her work focused on data protection, cybersecurity, intellectual property law, commercial contracts, and marketing compliance. During her studies, she also gained experience in intellectual property matters at another Finnish business law firm, with an emphasis on IP portfolio management, brand protection and strategy, trademarks, copyright, and registered design rights.
