Associate to Our Banking & Finance Team

Our Banking & Finance team is looking for an Associate to join our firm in a permanent position.

Borenius is a leading Finnish law firm. We employ over 230 specialists and deliver premier expertise across all areas of business law. We also have offices in London and New York.

Our top-tier Banking & Finance practice is known for its deep industry expertise and commitment to delivering innovative solutions tailored to our clients' needs. We have a broad team working across corporate finance, leveraged finance, project finance, debt capital markets and real estate finance. We also regularly collaborate on various restructuring assignments with our esteemed insolvency team. Our assignments often require cross-practice cooperation with M&A, capital markets, real estate, tax or projects teams, enabling us to deliver comprehensive and forward-thinking solutions. We are now looking to further strengthen our team to respond even better to the high demands of our clients.

We expect you to hold a master's degree in law and have the relevant qualifications to practise law in Finland. You may be newly graduated or already have a few years of work experience as a lawyer. Prior experience in banking and finance is not a requirement; however, such experience will be viewed as an advantage. What matters most is that you have a genuine interest in becoming a great finance lawyer, that you take pride in your work and always aim for an outstanding performance.

Proficiency in Finnish and English, both written and spoken, is required because of the nature of our work. Proficiency in other languages is considered an asset.
