Borenius advised Power-Deriva on its application for an Organised Trading Facility licence from the Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority
We advised Power-Deriva Oy on obtaining an Organised Trading Facility (OTF) licence from the Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority (FIN-FSA) for PD Port, which is set to become the first Nordic marketplace for bilateral power derivatives.
As a multilateral trading venue within the meaning of MiFID II, PD Port is designed to bring together multiple third-party buying and selling interests in derivatives and other eligible instruments under a single rulebook, providing transparency, liquidity and predictability to bilateral power derivatives trading.
Power-Deriva Oy provides services governed by Finland’s Investment Services Act under an authorisation from the Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority (FIN-FSA), serving professional clients. Power-Deriva trades electricity, emission allowance, natural gas and currency derivatives, as well as Guarantee of Origin products, on behalf of its clients, executing orders on exchanges such as Euronext and ICE or bilaterally through its network.
