Borenius advised The Y-Foundation on its EUR 75 million senior unsecured bond issue

We advised The Y-Foundation on its EUR 75,000,000 senior unsecured bond issue. The transaction marks the first ever bond transaction for a foundation and for a non-profit charitable entity in Finland. The Y-Foundation’s task is to promote social justice and reduce homelessness by providing affordable housing in major growth centres in Finland.

Danske Bank A/S, Finland Branch and Svenska Handelsbanken AB (publ), Branch Operation in Finland acted as the lead managers.

Given that the proceeds will be used for promoting social justice and reducing homelessness, this project felt particularly meaningful to Borenius team while acting as a Legal Counsel to The Y-Foundation.
