Career opportunities for students
Our trainee programmes will give you some first-hand experience of working in a dynamic law firm in Finland. Every year, our team welcomes up to fifty students from different stages in their studies. Our Work Culture
We understand the concept of learning broadly and seek to challenge the traditional concept of training. The Borenius Learning programme not only aims at training legal skills but also includes other areas, such as self-leadership, career track planning, media skills and ethics workshops.
You are important to us. That’s why we invest in our staff’s well-being and actively support life outside the office. We promote a flexible culture that values a healthy work-life balance. You can avail yourself of benefits related to health and well-being, such as a discount on massage services and an Alepa city bike pass supported by us, or enjoy a healthy breakfast in our monthly office meetings or a glass of wine at our after-work parties. We also offer nursery services for children in case of illness as well as a discount on cleaning services.
Your Borenius tutor will guide you through your induction period, and you are always welcome to share your ideas and questions with your senior colleagues. In addition, new and returning employees are offered mentoring services, which promotes self-leadership among our lawyers. We believe that creating professional development plans and balancing work and home life are the key to further increasing our employees’ productivity.
Our strong team spirit is the key to succeeding together. The Borenius Social & Borenius Sports teams arrange regular events and activities for our staff, such as get-togethers and sports and culture events. We also support your hobbies by offering sports and culture vouchers.

Henrik Uoti
Associate
I began my Borenius career in the spring of 2019. My first position was as an Associate Trainee on the M&A team where I had the chance to work on various different M&A assignments together with a capable team of Borenius experts. After finalising my studies and working elsewhere for a while, I returned to Borenius the following year to write my thesis with the firm’s support.
