Klaus advises on legal issues related to the application of environmental law. He has extensive expertise on matters related to land use planning and construction permit procedures. He is also involved in different kinds of infrastructure projects as well as in legal issues concerning environmental protection, nature protection and natural resources management (including water management and forestry).

Prior to joining Attorneys at law Borenius, he worked for the Ministry of the Environment as a legal counsel, where his tasks included acting as a legal expert in land use and construction law. Klaus has experience in legislative work in the area of land use planning, including the relation of land use and construction law to other environmental legislation. He has also worked for another law firm and as a legal specialist at the South-Savo Regional Environment Centre. Furthermore, Klaus has taught environmental law at the University of Helsinki for several years.
