Risto advises on construction and real estate law as well as on litigation related issues. He also lectures regularly in these fields of law.

Prior to joining Attorneys at law Borenius, Risto worked for other major Finnish law firms, specialising in construction and real estate law and litigation.

In 1991, Risto worked for a law firm based in Indiana, United States.

Risto is the vice-president of the Finnish Bar Association. He is the former president of the Helsinki Bar Association and a former member of the board of directors of the Association of Finnish Lawyers.

Risto has been a Specialist Partner since 2011.
